Palestinian Poet visiting Jacksonville

Poet, writer, educator and Palestinian-American Naomi Shihab Nye will present a reading of her poetry Wednesday May 11th at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the downtown Main Library (303 N Laura Street, Jacksonville). Both events are free and open to the public.

Ms. Nye’s appearance is sponsored by The Friends of the Jacksonville Public Library and The Language of Conservation, an initiative of Poets House in partnership with the Audubon Nature Institute, the Jacksonville Public Library, The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, and a consortium of zoos and libraries nationwide. It is made possible by a National Leadership Grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
