Maybe One Day by Ramzi Farah

On December 6, 2017 Chuck and Ruba Farah’s son Ramzi had to write about a current event for English class at UGA. He chose to write about Peace after Trump announced moving the Israeli embassy to Jerusalem. Ramzi was born here in the U.S. and has been to Ramallah, Palestine and loves it. This is an example of how our teenagers are affected by this situation especially after visiting Palestine and seeing and experiencing how we are treated as a people. There is no justice but the young generation still has hope.

Maybe One Day
by Ramzi Farah

Maybe one day there will be peace
maybe one day
Maybe one day there will be peace in the Middle East
maybe one day
Maybe one day the Palestinian mother of an American born kid can return to her home
Maybe one day she can return to the place she was grown
Maybe she won’t be torn away from the place that she was born
maybe one day
Maybe one day both Palestinians and Israelis can find common ground
to find out that peace isn’t far from found
to realize that peace will ring a better sound
maybe one day
Maybe one day there will peace
Peace, in the Middle East
