Arab American Stories

Come out and support members of our community as well as other local Arab Americans during two events that will help generate positive feedback and showcase our many accomplishments.

Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 6 p.m., the Jacksonville Public Library (Main Library downtown)
Multipurpose Room #1 – Please enter the library from Main Street.

This event will feature members of our community who will participate in a Q & A and panel discussion. Segments of the national Arab American documentary will air as well.

Participants include:
Audi Bajalia, Jamal Batteh, Jamil Bateh, Farid Bateh, Anwar Farmand, Donald Bateh, Kristen Mousa, and Joy Batteh-Freiha. Other participants may include: Mimi Bajalia, Janice Farhat

Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 6-9 p.m., WJCT Studios, 100 Festival Park Road
This event will include screenings of the radio and videotaped interviews conducted by WJCT’s Melissa Ross. Also, the event will include a reception with mazza provided by Jason Bajalia and musical entertainment. Segments of the national Arab American documentary will air as well.

Participants include:
George Mackoul, Ronie Rukab, Kristen Mousa, Nicholas Freiha, Jacqueline Ossi, Dr. Nayla Osman-Chalavi, Eddie and Chuck Farah, George Salem, Rose Bateh, Abla Bateh, Leila Z. Bateh, Suad Charlie Farah, Dr. Yazan Khatib, Judge Michelle Kalil Taylor, Father Nick and Dr. Roxanne Louh, Toney Sleiman.
