Dear Ramallah Family,
I write to ask for your support in a worthwhile project spearheaded by Basem and Muna Hishmeh, to help build playgrounds in Ramallah and the West Bank area.
As you know, Basem and Muna have been tremendous supporters of our local Ramallah community and our Club for years. They have generously donated funds toward the Club’s new playground equipment, were instrumental in bringing Palestinian culture to Jacksonville with the Palestine Youth Orchestra, were one of the very first donors to our Ramallah Convention last year, and more. They never cease to step-up to the plate when asked.
Today, Basem and Muna are helping to build playgrounds in our ancestral homeland. They have requested financial assistance from Ramallah Clubs throughout the U.S., to help offset the costs of building these playgrounds – which will no doubt bring much needed happiness to children in Ramallah and other areas of the West Bank.
As a sign of solidarity and appreciation to Basem and Muna for all they do to bring opportunities and hope to the Ramallah people – both here and abroad, the Board and I are asking, on behalf of the Club, for your support with this project.
A suggested donation of $50 or more will help towards this important project of bringing joy and a positive experience to children on the West Bank. Every child deserves a chance to play in a secure and safe environment. Every donation counts. Please be generous.
All donations are tax-deductible and should be made payable to: ANERA. A receipt for tax purposes will be mailed to you, from ANERA, along with acknowledgement of your donation. Please mail your donation by October 16, 2013, and mail to: Ramallah American Club of Jacksonville, 3130 Parental Home Road, Jacksonville, FL 32216. We will gather all the checks and forward them to ANERA.
A plaque noting the Ramallah-American Club of Jacksonville, FL will be permanently displayed to assure future generations, of our solidarity and concern for their wellbeing.
With sincerest gratitude,
Donald J. Bateh
President, Ramallah-American Club of Jacksonville
